Request Status
The current disposition in the system of a request record is referred to as its "status." As reflected in the table below, a request may have one of six different statuses, each requiring a different level of user attention.
Do not confuse "Status" with "Milestone." Status refers to the current disposition of a request record itself, whereas milestone refers to the current stage in a request's workflow process.
In the Filter Options panel of the Workspace page, you can search or filter for requests by their current status.
Status | Definition | Code |
---|---|---|
Closed |
A user manually has stopped processing of a request, usually as a resolution to an error. A closed request cannot be reopened. No additional user action is necessary or possible. |

A request has encountered an error in one of the steps in its workflow process. User intervention is necessary. |
ERR |
On Hold |
A request is dormant until a specific system event restores it to Pending status. |
HOLDEVENT |
Open |
A request is awaiting user action. |
OPN |
Pending |
Producer Express currently is processing a request. No user action is possible. |
PN |

A request has completed all steps in its workflow process and is considered successfully completed. No additional user action is necessary or possible. |
PROC |
The On Hold status is available through Vertafore configuration only. If your company's instance of Producer Express includes this configuration (holdForEventFunction), then you may see a status of On Hold for a request that is waiting for a response to an appointment request, a response to a background investigation request, an automated data reconciliation, a dependent request to reach a specific status or milestone, and/or a parent request to reach a specific status. |
