Create Rule - Dates

Use the Create Rule - Dates page to define a date interval during which a rule will be active as part of the rule group.

The Create Rule - Dates page is the first step in a wizard procedure to configure a rule to apply to a sales authorization check for education credentials for the selected product types.

To open the Create Rule - Dates page, use one of the following methods:

Fields and controls include the following:

  • Select the active dates for this rule: Define a date interval during which the rule will be active as part of the rule group. Enter the following:

  • Start Date: Required. Enter the date on which the rule will become active. Use the mmddyyyy date format. Or, click the Calendar button () to open a popup calendar from which you can click to select a date.

  • End Date: Enter the date on which the rule will become inactive. Use the mmddyyyy date format. Or, click the Calendar button () to open a popup calendar from which you can click to select a date.

  • Cancel: Click to abort the operation and open the View Rule Group page.

  • Continue: Click to validate the data entered on the page and open the Create Rule - Sales Events page, where you can select one or multiple sales events to apply as criteria for the rule.

Notes

Note: To keep the rule active indefinitely as part of the rule group, do not enter a value in the End Date field.
