Import Certificate Holders and Additional Interests
Use Import Additional Interests to add a list of banks, loss payees, mortgage companies, or certificate holders to AMS360. Once imported, the names appear throughoutAMS360in a list wherever you enterAdditional InterestorCertificate Holders. You can also edit or delete individual interests after importing.
To create a list of certificate holders for a specific customers or to import a list, seeCustomer Certificate Holder Setup.
You can access Import Additional Interests from the Additional Interests Setup data entry form:

From any center or form that has a Toolbox menu, click Toolbox>System Administration>Additional Interests. The Additional Interests Setup data entry form appears.

From the menu, click File>Import CSV or click the Import CSV icon on the tool bar.

Type
|
Select the Type of Additional Interest you are importing to AMS360 via the list.
All interests you are importing must be the same type. If you have different types of interests in the same file, use Microsoft Excel™ to divide the names into separate files. Once the names are imported you can edit the names individually and change the Type.

Master Holder
|
Check this option to have the Additional Interest appear in the Master Certificate Holder list.

File Name
|
Enter the name of the file that includes the Additional Interests you want to import. In addition to the file name you must include the drive letter and full directory path.
Example: C:\lists\holder.csv

Browse
|
Click Browse to launch the Microsoft Windows™ Open dialog box that you can use to find and identify the directory path and name of the file you are importing.

OK
|
Click to validate the entries you have made on the dialog box and begin the import process.
|
Cancel
|
Click to prevent the import process and return to the Additional Interest Setupdata entry form.
|
After completing the selections on the Import Additional Interests dialog box and clicking OK, the import process begins. Initially, AMS360 validates the data in the file. If invalid data exists, an AOI Import Errors dialog box appears identifying the row of the file that contains the error. You can then choose to continue to import the file or cancel the process.
If a data error exists and you choose to import the file, one of the following occurs:

If the error is because the Name of the interest is missing, no information for that row is imported. Nameis a required field, so no data can be imported without this field.

If the error is because of invalid data in a field other than the Name field, then the data for that row is imported, but the invalid data is not imported. Example: A three-digit number is found in the zip code field for one of the interests. The zip code reports as invalid and will not import even though the other information for that interest does import.

Once the data is imported, a message appears with the number of records imported successfully into AMS360.
