Review/Update Company

Use the Review/Update Company page to view existing company information such as Name, Employer Identification Number (EIN), NAIC ID, NAICGroup Number, and other details. In addition, existing company information can be modified by users who have appropriate security.

To access this page, from the Licensing menu select Company, and then select Review/Update Company.

At the top of the page, in the Record Summary section, basic information is displayed about the company. The rest of the page is divided into six sections:

Company Details

This section contains general company information and is modifiable in the Review/Update Company page with the exception of the following "view only" fields:

  • Company ID – This field, which uniquely identifies the company, was assigned by the system when the company was added and is not modifiable.

  • Status – The company status was assigned by the system when the company was added, is updated by the system as necessary, and is not a modifiable field on this page.

  • Effective Date – The company effective date was assigned by the system when the company was added, is updated by the system as necessary, and is not a modifiable field on this page.

  • Company Type – This field is not modifiable on this page. It is modified by the system by a change in company type status.

All other fields in this section are modifiable. Simply click in the appropriate field and update by either typing in the information or selecting from a dropdown list. Click the Save button to save changes, or Cancel to exit without saving changes.

Note: Note: For an Agency or Broker/Dealer type of Producer Manager installation, the Company’s Carrier Name is displayed as a link and a Change Carrier link is available in the Details section. For additional information on changing carriers, refer to Search Carrier.

Contact Information

This section contains company addresses, phone numbers, and contact names for the selected company. Information can be modified by clicking on the Add/Update/Delete Addresses link at the bottom of the section. For more information, refer to Maintain Address and Phone.

State Appointment Details

This section contains company appointment details by state, including available appointment types, company/license numbers, and appointing authorities. If a state is not listed, it can be added by clicking on the Add New States link in the upper right corner of the section. Existing states may be modified using the Edit link to the right of the record. For more information, refer to Maintain State Appointment Details.

Aliases

This section contains information about other names by which a company has been or is known as. Information can be modified by clicking on the Add/Update/Delete Aliases link at the bottom of the section. For more information, refer to Maintain Alias.

External System Identifiers

This section contains information about identifiers that can be used to reference external systems. Information can be modified by clicking on the Add/Update/Delete External System Identifiers link at the bottom of the section. For more information, refer to Maintain External System Identifiers.

Comment

This section contains remarks or explanatory information about the company. Information can be modified by clicking on the Add/Update/Delete Comments link at the bottom of the section. For more information, refer to Maintain Comments.
