View Credential Program

If you have system administrator permissions, use the View Credential Program page to review the details of a selected credential program, the education credentials for which it is activated, and the types of producers who are eligible for the program. You can also update the requirements of custom credential programs and  or review the requirements of a template-based credential program.

The View Credential Program page opens in two modes: one offering modifiable credential program requirements (associated with a custom-configured credential program) and another displaying unmodifiable credential program requirements (associated with a template-based or "Vertafore Example" credential program).

Warnings

Removing the requirements of a credential program that is activated and associated with an education credential can have far-reaching and possibly unintended, negative consequences. When you remove the requirements of a credential program currently activated and associated with an education credential, the system automatically will recalculate all producers' eligibility for the affected education credential. (The recalculation process may take approximately 24 hours, depending on the number of producers in your system and other factors.) When it is complete, a producer who qualified for an education credential based on the former requirements of the credential program may no longer qualify. Because removing the requirements of an education credential's credential program can update producer records silently and automatically and could alter documentation of your company's compliance with state or federal regulations, we urge extreme caution when using this feature. If in doubt, consult your Vertafore representative for assistance.

Notes

Note: In the Requirements section, you may update the requirements of a custom-configured credential program, but you cannot update the requirements of a template-based or "Vertafore Example" credential program.

Note: In the Program Details section, you cannot enable the Historical checkbox of a credential program that is currently activated and associated with an education credential.

Note: The Activated for these Credentials section does not display if the selected credential program currently is not activated and associated with an education credential.

Note: If you are viewing a template-based credential program for annuities suitability based on the requirements of the NAIC Model Act, and custom requirements defining specific coursework have not been added to the credential program, an alert box will display below the Requirements section. It is recommended that you click the define the[..]requirement link in the alert box to open the Add a Requirement page. Use the options in the Custom Requirement Criteria section to configure a specific annuities training course or course category that a producer then will be compelled to complete in order to meet the credential program requirements and be eligible for the related education credential.
