Third Party Certifications
Available on individual producer records only.
Whether entered manually or retrieved from an external data source through an automated data reconciliation operation, Producer Manager can store certification of a producer's compliance with a state's eligibility requirements to represent a certain line of business. A certification, together with the proper licensure, can translate to fulfillment of a credential program and earn the producer an education credential.
Use the Third Party Certifications data section of a producer record to review the producer's third-party education or training certification information.
To review a producer's Third Party Certifications, click the Third Party Certifications link in the Quick Links box of a producer record that is open in the Review/Update Producer page.

Notes
Note: To obtain third-party certifications in Producer Manager automatically, your company must subscribe to the services of a compliance certification clearinghouse and also to the Vertafore third-party certification integration service. For more information, consult your Vertafore representative.
Note: If a third-party certification is configured as a requirement in an active credential program, the system can use it to calculate a producer's eligibility for an applicable education credential. The system applies the values of the Verified Date and Expiration Date in a third-party certification to determine the producer's periods of eligibility.
Note: The value of the Status field in a third-party certification reflects only that a certification was verified by a third-party vendor or certification clearinghouse as active at the time of entry. A third-party certification will not change automatically to Inactive status if the value of the Expiration Date field is on or before the current date.
Note: Unlike other training course completions that enable a producer to qualify for an education credential, details of the actual coursework that a producer completed to earn a third-party certification are not stored in the producer's record. However, you may view a transcript of the third-party certification by clicking the ClearCert Report link in the Data Sources column of the Data Reconciliation data section.
Note: Should your company become subject of a state examination of your company's compliance with producer suitability requirements based on third-party certifications, please contact your Vertafore representative.
