Qualify a Lead

Does your lead have what you’re looking for—and vice versa? Once you’ve identified the time frame, budget, purchase process, and decision makers for the sale, it’s time to qualify your lead. Qualifying a lead in Vertafore Agency SalesTrack converts it to an opportunity.

Ideally, your leads or prospects should have a need that you can provide a solution for, and have the budget and influence necessary for making the purchasing decision. In addition, you should be able to provide their solution within the time frame they need it.

Qualify a Single Lead

  1. On the top navigation bar click Sales and select Leads.
  2. Choose the lead you want to qualify. Ensure all the required information of the lead is complete.
  3. On the command bar, click Qualify. The lead will move to an opportunity and not longer appear in the leads list.

Qualify Multiple Leads

  1. On the top navigation bat click Sales and select Leads.
  2. Select all the check box next to all leads that you want to qualify.
  3. On the command bar click Qualify.

Develop an Opportunity

Once a Lead is Qualified, the workflow progresses to the Develop stage and becomes an Opportunity. At this point a producer develops the opportunity by completing the required details.
