Working with Leads
In Vertafore Agency SalesTrack, you can use leads to keep track of business prospects that you haven't yet qualified through your sales process. A lead can be someone you’ve never done business with before, or it could be an existing client. You might get leads from different sources, such as advertising, networking, or email campaigns.
Access Leads
You can access Leads a couple of ways, from the navigation bar, or from the Dashboard.
- From the top navigation bar - On the top navigation bar click Sales and select the Leads tile. A list of all available leads appear.
- From the Dashboard view, My Open Leads section.
Create a Lead
There are three ways to create a lead - From the top navigation bar, from the Quick Create and from the top command bar.
- From the Leads page. On the top navigation bar click Sales and select the Leads tile. A list of all leads appears. On the top command bar click + to create a new lead.
- From the +Quick Create option. From the Quick Create option click + Create and select the Leads tile.
- From the Dashboard, My Open Leads section. From the My Open Leads section on the dashboard click +.
- In the Lead Qualify section of the workflow select the Type of Business. Depending on your selection the workflow changes. Select the Type of Business below you want to continue with:
- Click Commercial Lines for detailed workflow.
- Click Personal Lines for detailed workflow.
- Click Benefits, Financial Services, Health, Life and Non P&C for detailed workflow.
Edit a Lead
- On the top navigation click Sales and select Leads. A list of all leads appears.
- Click on the lead to open and edit.
- Make the appropriate edits.
- Click Save on the top left.
Delete a Lead
- On the top navigation bar click Sales and select Leads. A list of all leads appears.
- Click to select the lead you want to delete.
- On the command bar click Delete.
Print a Lead
- On the top navigation bar click Sales and select Leads.
- Go to the Lead you want to print.
- Click Settings at the top right corner of the page.
- Select Print Preview. A preview page appears.
- On the command bar click Print.
- Select the print options you want and then choose Print.
Assign a Lead
- On the top navigation bar click Sales and select Leads.
- Select the lead you want to assign.
- On the command bar click ... More Commands and select Assign.
- Click Assign to another user or team.
- Using the Inline search tool find and select the user or team.
- Click Assign.
