Using tools from the Administration menu, you can update your own user account. In addition, if you have administrator security permissions, you can add, view, and modify information about other users and users’ security access in Producer Manager, as well as update the system configuration.

Note: The options available from the Administration menu depend on the configuration of your company's deployment of Producer Manager and on the permissions that are enabled in your user security role. For more information, see Configuration Options and Maintain Security Role.

Note: For accountability and forensics purposes, User Administration Logs are available from Producer Manager and Producer Express. A log tracks the identity of any user who performs a user administration activity in the system, as well as the date and time of the activity. Logged activities include the following: a) Adding user accounts; b) Updating user account information; c) Enabling/disabling user accounts; d) Changing a user security role, and e) Resetting user passwords. User Administration Logs are not available directly in the Producer Manager or Producer Express user interface. To request a User Administration Log, contact your Vertafore customer support representative.

Note: Producer Express and Producer Manager logs when a user accesses Personally Identifiable Information (PII) in the system, such as producers’ full names in connection with their Social Security Numbers, birth dates, bank information, driver’s license number, and more. Data Access Logs track the identity and session information of any user who accesses PII and the type of activity the user was engaged in at the time. It also includes the type of data accessed, whether the data was added, updated, deleted, or viewed in an inquiry, and a timestamp of when data access occurred. Data Access Logs are not available directly in the Producer Manager or Producer Express user interface. To request a Data Access Log, contact your Vertafore customer support representative.
